I love watching The Chew. I like it not only for the recipes, but I like the hosts and their camaraderie. They’re funny. It’s a good show and does have some good recipes. Daphne Oz is on there and she is the daughter of Dr. Oz. She has actually battled weight, which is kind of surprising. She created the Dorm Room Diet when she was in college which was a pretty successful diet. I haven’t looked into that one. Michael Symon is an Iron Chef who I adore. Mario Battali is the father of high-end Italian restaurants and an Iron Chef. Carla Hall is an alum from Top Chef. And then there is my favorite, Clinton Kelly. He is the guru from What Not To Wear. I have always loved him.

I just watched the Friday, October 5th show. It’s their skinnier show. They were really promoting healthier living and really understanding the struggles people have. That is what I love about these people. They do get it. They don’t talk down to people. They are about having fun in the kitchen and they took a very sensitive subject and made it approachable. It made me feel good that they really care. If you want to watch the episode, you can watch it on Hulu.

I’ve not felt well for the last couple of days. My tummy has been a wreck I was surprised when I had a food dream that I remembered. It was odd and yet it sounded good and decadent and kinda bad, too. 🙂 What was it? A grilled peanut butter and banana sandwich with bacon. Maybe I was hungry. Maybe I was channeling Elvis. Maybe I was thinking about Michael Symon. I don’t know. It’s rare that I dream where I remember them. And food dreams? No. They’re even rarer. (Is rarer a word?) So I thought I would share this odd dream and yummy sounding concoction with you. We should not eat it, but I will probably try it one day.
